Hello there,
I am still doing the 30 Day Shred with a few changes. I have suffered some injuries in the past that limit me from doing this everyday. Dr says it would be best to give my body a day of rest in between workouts. The good news is I am seeing and feeling the results. I am hoping next week I will see it when I measure myself. Finally the workout is getting easier and am almost ready to up the level of difficulty.
This is an amazing workout and I cant stress enough how well it works.
Until next time....

Amy's not so anaerobic.
Hello all,
Today is day 9 and I have had a few bumps along the way. This workout is designed to do everyday for 30 days. This is where the challenge comes in and the results. I have missed two days out of nine. Todays workout was just as hard as the first one. Getting a bit frustrated. I have always been able to adapt well to any aerobic program. My anaerobic has always suffered. This program is VERY anaerobic. Here is a quick definition of it: There are three energy-producing systems in the human body, one of which is aerobic (using oxygen), and two of which are anaerobic (not using oxygen): ATP-CP and Glycolysis.
Sprints would be an example of anaerobic. Jillian's workout if very quick and with quick moments and changes between exercises.
I am not going to give up! It has got to get easier at some point.

Day Four of 30 day Shred with Jillian
Over my many years of taking and teaching fitness class I must say this is a great program. I am so sore. I have not been this sore since I started teaching and training over 18 years ago. Let me clarify this, I have been sore many times, but never every muscle in my entire body. This 20 minute fitness program challenges every part of your body even parts you did not realize you had...lol Yesterday my biceps hurt so bad I could not straiten out my arms. I have already noticed an improvement with my lung capacity aka aerobic capacity and my back ache is less.
I am excited to about this program and look forward to popping in the dvd every day.
In till next time..........

Getting back to it!
Today is the third day of 2011. I have made a pledge to myself to become what I was 20 years ago or even 8 years ago. With all the stress of trying to have children I have lost site of myself and how things should really be.
One thing I need to do is get back to a regular exercise routine. I felt my best when I exercised four to five days a week. Most people look at me and think, she is not fat or overweight. I am here to tell you I am OVER FAT. Over fat means my body fat to muscle ratio is bad. Hard to believe, but I hide it well...lol
According to an article from Medscape.com, the American Dietetic Association recommends that men have 15-18% body fat and women have 20-25% body fat ( I am higher then 25% ). Healthy male athletes might be as low as 5-12% body fat, and healthy female athletes could be as low as 10-20%.
I am not worried about my scale weight. However I am not going to lie to ya, losing 5 to 10 lbs would be a bonus. What really matters to me the most if looking and feeling better.
This blog has been created for myself as well as anyone else who would like to see my results for the next 30 days. Wish me luck! I am going to need it. I have been exercising since I was 16 years old and I am just sick of it. I can't seem to find anything that keeps my interest. The 30 day Shred is a program that only takes 20 minutes a day with excellent results.
